Surviving

And are we not all survivors? Challenged with the task of enduring, of conditioning, of flowing like water to find a new way? We saddle up, we buckle down, we push through, we are stripped away, we are made anew. Something very raw, and pure, and profound, and deep remains.

And are we not all warriors? Challenged with the task of overcoming, of rebuilding, of rising after great falls? Of raging, of pushing beyond perceived limits, of overflowing, of exceeding what we thought we knew? We rise with battle scars, we bandage wounds and step forward, we take darkness and bring it with us into the light. The sun cleanses us through and through.

And somewhere in the delicate balance of the two, we find love, we find hope, we find passion, we find purpose, we find all that is worth living for.

We become.
